Breaking The Class Ceiling: from child refugee to barrister

The KCL Somali Society are hosting a top barrister, Hashi Mohamed, who began as a child refugee. He will be talking about the unwritten rules you must learn to get a top job. Hashi Mohamed came to the UK aged nine, as an unaccompanied child refugee, knowing little English. His academic achievements at school were far from stellar. He attributes his success to his mentors and will be talking about how they helped him achieve his goals of becoming a barrister.
